It's the last Thursday of the month so time to check in with the Smalls SAL run by Heather of Stitching Lotus.
This month I have another Lizzie Kate Tiny Tidings which I have not only stitched but, for the second month in a row, actually finished! I love the simplicity of these designs and how they stitch up so quickly! Here's how it looked after the stitching.....
..... and after I had made it into an ornament using wadding, Christmas fabric, Christmas ribbon and matching cording:
Joyeux Noel
Lizzie Kate Tiny Tidings XV
Stitched on 16ct Cloud Brown over-dyed aida from Sewitall.com 2 over 1
Stitch Count 49 wide by 49 high

Finished - 17th February 2016
Total stitching time - 4 hours 55 minutes
Plus a couple of hours to finish off

The wadding is still a little thin at the top but overall I am much happier with the finish this month. I will certainly not be embarrassed putting this one on display at Christmas!
Now to pop over to some of the other Samlls SAL blogs.
See you next month.

What a lovely ornament! Well done on not only a cute stitch but a "proper" finish too!
this is beautiful -- the fabric on the back is just perfect. It will be a wonderful addition to your Christmas displays
What a cute ornament. Your tree will be full of lovely finishes.
Congrats on the cute finish Rachel. I have all of her Tiny Tidings charts and will be starting lots of them.

Great finishing off:)
What an adorable finish, it's lovely.... Your backing fabric goes really well too.

Beautiful ornament !! :) I am sure you must be very happy that this did not go into the box of shame :)
Wow Rachel!! This is a very pretty design and you've finished it beautifully too :) What a beautiful ornament!
Wohoo a finished finish! Great job. Love this one.
I love it! You did such a great job finishing.
Great stitching finish! And I love the way you finished it off.
This is gorgeous Rachel! I look at it and "The First Noel" starts playing in my head. I used to have a teacher in high-school who would sing this carol whenever she saw me. She would change the lyric to "The First Joelle" though lol! ;)
Very nice finish Rachel!
Great design and finish! My favorite part is the gold beads :)
What lovely finishes :D And it warms my heart to see people working on Christmas projects even in February :) Love the added sparkle from those gold beads as well :)
A very lovely little piece, Rachel. And congrats on the finishing.
Cute ornie, I love the little gold beads.
Hi Rachel, it's so lovely finish! Happy stitching!

Great job finishing! I finished one too, but I think I forgot to post about it. It's a beautiful piece.
