Here I am, back again with the last of the Woodland Folk designs. This is Ollie Owl and I know at least one person (HB) who will be pleased to see his appearance!
Ollie's post also marks the two-thirds-of-the-way-through-this-crazy-challenge point. It's certainly all downhill from now on!
Here's how Ollie will look when completed, and my progress to date:
DMC
Stitched on 16ct Kelp over-dyed aida by Fabric Flair 2 over 1
Stitch count 75 wide by 49 high
Estimated stitching time 18 hours
Stitching time to date - 2 hours 15 minutes
I almost always start stitching at the top of a design but had to break with tradition for this one and start with Ollie's gorgeous eyes - how could I not?!
Tomorrow I will have another environmental message for you.

So funny to see just his eyes, lol. I can't get enough of all these sweet woodland folks.
Yay! There he is :). He gets flowers too lol great start!
He's just as gorgeous as the rest of them! The fabric is a perfect colour to set them all off. Great choice! I have a feeling he will soon be making an appearance in February...
This owl is so cute!
Adorable start! Those eyes were the perfect place to start:)
Glad you started with the eyes. Now he will be staring at you until you stitch more. Sad to know it's the last Woodland Folk one. Wonder what else you have in line?
So cute! Look at those cutie eyes!! Love it already :)
What's next??
I think you should make all of the adorable animals into a quilt when you are done with them. They would be SO cute!!!! Great job!
So cute Rachel. I'm sad that we won't be seeing anymore of these.

The eyes are super cute. Good idea to start them first :)
Yay! I love seeing Ollie stitched up. And of course you had to start with his eyes. Then he can "watch" you. :)
LOL Here's looking at you haha. Too cute! Love the design for this one. There are so many owls out right now but they did this one cute.
This owl is so cute !! You got the right part stitched first so you can always enjoy him watching you with those innocent eyes while stitching:)
Oh no...not the last one! I loved seeing this series and will look forward to seeing the finishes of each one.
Haha, great pair of eyes!
