Heather would like to share her new project and progress with you.
Her new chart is called Wolf and charted to be stitched in one colour. But Heather wasn't keen on that idea and decided she wanted a variety of blues. She took most of my spares and is simply making up the colour palette as she goes along! I certainly wouldn't try that and don't think there are many stitchers who would. She's a brave girl! Here's the chart then.....

.....and here's her progress so far on the eye, nose and forehead, full size and close up:
Stitched on 16ct Rustico Aida
I have to say that, obvious bias aside, she's doing a fantastic job! I really hope she keeps up her enthusiasm and I can show you more of her progress soon.
Should her enthusiasm continue she may even set up her own cross stitching blog!
Until next time,
Rachel and Heather xx

Stunning progress!! Well done Heather!
OK, that's impressive. I couldn't change colors like that if you paid me! I can't wait to see it finished!
It looks great, better than the charted version! She has a great eye! Perhaps she will be a designer one day...
Heather is brave! I wouldn't dare changing colours like that, so worried about getting the shadowing right... but she's doing brilliantly so far :) It looks great & much better than the original in one colour!!
That's wonderful! I love the blues. I think everyone is right, you have a very talented stitcher on your hands. I bet she could design some great charts sine day. I hope she keeps with it.
Beautiful Heather. You are doing a fantastic job and I love the blues. Your a great teacher Rachel.

Oh wow it's gorgeous!
I'm amazed that she's making up the colour changes as she goes! There are lots of experienced stitchers (me included) who wouldn't have a clue where to start to stitch shading like that.
It looks absolutely brilliant - well done Heather!
Looking forward to reading Heather's blog soon!
Oh My!!! Love her idea and it looks PERFECT. Tell her if she sets up her own blog I'll make sure to follow it. Please keep at it Heather....it's unbelievable!!
She should make her own blog so I can follow her XD Great work!
What a talented young lady! She has quite the eye for color and is doing an awesome job; keep up the great work Heather! Can't wait to see this finish and much more from you in the future. :)
Brave girl. It looks great though - she's obviously a natural
She has a great eye for colour! It looks awesome:)
It looks absolutely brilliant!! What an eye for colour!
Oh wow, she is really brave. I would never try that. I'm even reluctant on changing colours. Your daughter is really very creative.
This is a great project, she's making really good colour choices too. She might like to try variegated threads on another project!
What an amazing eye for color she has! It's beautiful!!
