Smalls SAL - October 2023

So, I haven't linked up to this Smalls SAL for six months (sorry, Mary) but am back this month in time to show the final two little Advent ornies:

These have all been so enjoyable to stitch, and are one of those designs that I would happily stitch all over again but in a different colour scheme.

Talking of stitching all over again, next month's Small SAL will see the return of an old favourite 🐉!

For the third month in a row I completed more of Durene Jones' Red And White Advent Calendar; only three though, as I was focusing more on the Mischievous March new starts:

I know I missed the last three/four months of 2022, but 2023 is a New Year and I am hoping things will return to normal. At least January is off to a good start, and I completed eight - yes, eight! - little advent projects (I'd only intended to do two!) As a way of getting me back into stitching and, as you might have guessed, these are very very very addictive!

So far so good, then, although being small and monochrome certainly helped!

Some of them have been adjusted slightly because of not stitching the numbers; I prefer them as just Christmas-related rather than Advent-specific projects.

Next month's Small(s) will be from the Advent Calendar again, although don't know which one(s) or in which colour(s) as I'm selecting them at random.

For November I succumbed to the Christmas spirit and stitched the third in a set of six Christmas Words Cards by Durene Jones. Two were stitched last year, two are planned for this year, and the final two will be Smalls next year.

I changed the blues as I wanted something a bit darker than the turquoises charted. I may have gone a bit too dark, but I'm still very happy with it.
