I'm back with finish number 6 from my January new starts!
Bert Badger was enjoyable and easy to stitch up, although I did fudge the backstitching again. Justine described the backstitching as "sketchy" which suits the design perfectly and means a bit of poetic licence could be used.
This is how Bert looked last time you saw him:
And here he is all completed and ready to join Sally in my Box of Shame until all 6 Woodland Folk have been completed:
DMC Woodland Folk
Stitched on 16ct Kelp over-dyed aida by Fabric Flair 2 over 1
Stitch count 57 wide by 57 high
Started - 6th January 2016
Finished - 23rd February 2016
Total stitching time - 15 hours
(estimated 16 hours)
So that's another WIP checked off my list.
As for what's next..... probably not another finish, but a couple of the larger pieces on which I wish to make some progress. But, you never know!!
Hope everybody's keeping those needles busy!

So cute! I love his squidgy tummy. Looking forward to stitching these myself!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how much work goes into what looks like a relatively small design. That's why I don't count my stitching hours!
He's a chubby little badger! He's very cute though and will look great with the others. Hopefully it will only be a short stay in the box of shame!
ReplyDeleteAnother great finish, you are just checking them off your list right and left! Good for you :) Looking forward to seeing your next finish.
