Well, Heather did it - she had almost all of her hair cut off for charity - the Little Princess Trust - and here are the photos to prove it:
All 28" of hair from crown to ends
After the plaits had been cut
The end result - an asymetrical Pixie Cut
I have to admit she looks absolutely fantastic! Everybody is so pleased with the cut and it really suits her (even if it is a bit too modern for me to understand!)
She's done her bit for charity and hopefully some little girl or boy will benefit from the wig made out of her hair. I'm so proud of her (and I only shed a couple of tears!)

Hello Rachel
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through Brigitte and had to come over and say what a wonderful thing for Heather to do. Her hair looks very cute now - what a kind girl.
I've had a little look at your lovely stitching and finishes and love them all.
Wishing you a good day x
Well done to your daughter! Any sign of the green beard yet?
ReplyDeleteWow-big change! Way to go her :o)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to her! That is a huge step to take and her hair looks great now too!
ReplyDeleteWow, she had a LOT of hair! But what a kind and generous thing for her to do and the new cut is really cute.
ReplyDeleteGood on her and good on you too mum for raising such an inspiration.

I like the new haircut from Heather. Her head must feel a lot lighter now and washing and drying will take a lot less time. That was a great gift from her. Bravo Heather. Sunny Greetings from New Orleans.
ReplyDeleteOh I love her haircut. What a sweet thing to do.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great cut! One of my students just did the same thing and looks fantastic! I've done this several times and will probably do it again come spring. I usually get sick of my long hair lol.
