So, ho ho ho, my rather special person is none other than Santa! At least starting him in January means I should have him finished in time for Christmas!
Stitching his hat and face had to be my top priority and luckily I had a good long evening session in which to do it. I like the way Dimensions have combined the use of 1 or 2 strands of thread with full and half crosses for effect. I know they do that with bigger charts but didn't expect it on these smaller ones.
Here's where I left off:
Stitched on 16ct Ice Blue aida 2 over 1
Stitch count 44 wide by 44 high
Estimated stitching time 13 hours
Stitching time to date - 3 hours 15 minutes
For day 24 I have another environmental (although probably less achievable) message.
Until tomorrow then,
Rachel x
Another gorgeous project! Katie Jeremiah's mom tells me you're not in competition with one another for the cutest CJC starts but I'm not sure...
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! You have chosen wisely with these small designs, I am sure you will be able to finish a lot of them during the year.
ReplyDeleteJustine's comment made me laugh!
Love it! He's darling, and you've made a beautiful start!
ReplyDeleteYep he's definitely a special visitor. He can come anytime he wants as long as he brings me stitching goodies haha. Great start!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat start on this one! I didn't know they did that with smaller designs either
ReplyDeleteLove the Big Guy!
ReplyDeleteNice start Rachel.

Cute start!! I loved all in this series:)
ReplyDeleteLove this series(seriously I would trust you to buy my sash any day!)
ReplyDeleteHe's really lovely. I also love the effects that this different use of strands and half crosses etc makes.
ReplyDeleteCute start on Santa!
ReplyDeleteHaha, ARE you competing with Katie?
ReplyDeleteSanta is very cute anyway. Trying to guess what Monday's start will be - "buy less stash"?
Great start on this one! I'm still undecided about adding these to my starts. :)
