Good grief, I'm on a roll with my stitching at the moment and have yet another finish to show you! Thank you for all the lovely comments you left regarding my last finish - I hope you like this one just as much!
This one is from 2nd January and was my first ever venture onto evenweave. To make it more difficult for myself I was also stitching white on white!
Souffle - Christmas Quacker
Featured in Cross Stitch Crazy issue ???
Stitched on 32ct Antique White Opalescent Evenweave by Fabric Flair 2 over 2
Stitch count 59 wide by 47 high
Started - 2nd January 2015
Finished - 21st April 2015
Total stitching time - 10 hours 10 minutes
With hindsight I probably should have chosen a different colour fabric (but kept the silver sparkles which you can just about see in the photo). The white doesn't look wrong, but Souffle would have shown up more on something like a very pale blue. Nevermind. I'm still very very happy with it.
I've now finished the smaller challenge pieces so will definitely not have another finish for a while - although I suppose that depends on what your definition of "a while" is!
9/59 Challenge pieces down, 50 to go!
Love and hugs,
Rachel x
Another sweet finish.
ReplyDeleteThe colours of your little chick really pops against the fabric - which you know I really like :) - it's just lovely! Congrats on your latest finish!
You are doing such a great job finishing your projects! This one is just TOO cute, and I love the sparklies in the fabric! ~ Tricia
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! I love all the sparkles.
ReplyDeleteI love this little guy. Great job another finish.
ReplyDeleteGreat to just see your next finish here. And I can't say anything against this fabric. I love the sparkles.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! I have to admit, I had to go back and look at the start for this one. I couldn't remember it! Love how the colors pop on this one!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on another adorable finish Rachel. Did you like working on the fabric?
ReplyDeleteLinda
Another lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Manuela
Congrats on the lovely finish !! So cute:)
ReplyDeleteI find white on white very difficult to stitch. When I am working on aida fabric, Sometimes, I have to touch and see whether a white stitch was already made.
Love it!!! Too adorable. I think it looks fantastic. Good luck with your WIPs.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on yet another finish! He looks like he got on the bad end of a snowball fight lol.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on another wonderfully cute finish, Rachel! I love him peeping out of his little egg. How did you like working on evenweave? I've just ventured into that myself.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on another great finish and for using evenweave for the first time (I rarely stitch on anything else these days)! Love the sparkles too!
ReplyDeleteLovely little finish, I love Soufflé, so cute! The fabric looks lovely, I know what you mean though but I do like the one you chose. Great little finish :)
ReplyDeleteCute finish and gorgeous fabric! Love it. How did you get on with evenweave? I don't really have a preference for what I stitch on, I like to chop and change.
ReplyDeleteYou are on a roll Rachel! Congrats on another cute finish!!
ReplyDeleteAwww cute little finish! Well done on this at those cute little kitties too!
