Back to Solo the cat today. I couldn't resist this chart of the little kitty giving Solo a piggy-back hug! You can just about see some of Solo's face but it's not that clear..... yet!
Cuddly Feline Friends
Featured in The World of Cross Stitching issue 139Stitched on 16ct Clay over-dyed Aida by Fabric Flair 2 over 1
I can't say enough how much I enjoy working on this Fabric Flair fabric. It's not too soft or hard, the threads run through it like a dream and the marbled effect is just about right. I've only found one shop in the UK that sells it (sewandso) and it's not cheap at £8.55 for a piece 18" x 19". But it's worth the price I suppose. Lucky Americans!
EDIT - I've now found that celticroseneedlecraft.com in the UK also stock fabric by Fabric Flair, although only in 14 and 16ct Aida. They call it "Cloud Effect" and it is available with or without sparkles and in bigger sized pieces. It doesn't appear to come in quite the same colours as those on the sewandso.co.uk website, who also stock evenweave, so I might give some a try when my SFS budget allows!
Love and hugs

Very sweet design. I've never tried Fabric Flair. Will have to give it a go. It looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteReally sweet design. Nice start on it.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Never tried that company but uses Sewandso regularly so might give it a go :) Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorably sweet. Nice start!
ReplyDeleteAnother adorable pattern. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is gorgeous. The design is so sweet and will look great stitched on this.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the fabric <3
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute start Rachel. The fabric is gorgeous. 123Stitch carries it here but it is expensive.

I've seen the fabric now and again, but only in a very few colors here in the US. Not in two or three of the colors that you've used, though. I'm definitely going to look harder next time I happen to be in a real (as compared to online) needlework shoppe!
ReplyDeleteSooo cute! Glad the fabric makes your stitching happy.
ReplyDeleteVery cute :-) Love the fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love all the little designs that you chose for the challenge. I always think how lucky the American stitchers are when I need new threads. Makes this hobby for us Europeans an expensive one.
