Wooo-hoooo! It's happy dance time!
It took me one hour to finish the stitching on Big Eyes Kitty and another hour to mount and frame her, so here she is - Big Eyes Kitty (or Misty) in her finished, mounted and framed glory! I hope you like her.
Big Eyes Kitty by DMC
Stitched on 16ct Cream Aida 2 over 1
Stitch count 96 wide by 96 high
Started - 4th March 2014
Finished - 6th April 2014
Total stitching time - 51 hours
I must remember to get some non-reflective glass for the frame. The reflections you can see in the glass are from the spokes of the umbrella I was holding up trying to prevent glare in the glass!
And, as a reminder, here is Misty with her sibling Cottonsocks:
I have three more in this set waiting to be stitched but will not do them for some time yet. I need a break from sepia tones!
I hope I can provide this chart's first post soon.
Until then,
All the best and
Happy stitching :)

Hello
ReplyDeleteyour kitty finish is just gorgeous and Cottonsocks is too, they make a great pair!
Have a good week!
My mum thinks so to and has stolen them for her room! Still at least I get to see them regularly. :)
DeleteLovely finishes and great job framing! I wish I could frame projects. My guess is your new project is Scarlet Macaw Preening and I hope I'm right as I'd love to follow your progress on it!
ReplyDeleteThanks. The framing was easy - just a couple of sheets of scrapbooking cardstock, a ruler, a craft knife and some double sided tape. The finished design was only 6"x6" so was easy to do. I certainly wouldn't tackle anything much bigger!
DeleteNice job!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done, I can't believe how fast you managed to get that kitty done!
ReplyDeleteNo idea about the new start, I did think Mini Autumn Cat Magic but I think the colours are a bit dark for that so maybe Fire Dragon or Mini Dragon Riders?
Kitty is so beautiful :3 You've made it so fast! It's a shame that I'm a (very) slow stitcher :x
ReplyDeleteLovely! Really nice work!
